We went shopping today, and Jayla was able to pick out her Halloween costume. She was so excited. ( I'm not so much... she wanted a Tinkerbell Costume that I think will be too short...) Anyway, we then explained to her (over and over and over) that this was a special dress; one that she could only wear on Halloween. She seemed to except this, so we moved on.
Upon arrival at home, she said,
"Mom, I want to wear my Halloween dress."
"Honey, I've already told you, not til Halloween."
"But Mom, I want to put my Halloween dress on."
"Sweetie, I said not until Halloween."
"Mom," she says to me in a very serious voice, "You don't listen very well."

Heheheh I am sitting here at school laughing. That is so Jayla!! She is so funny! Just gotta love it when kids say stuff like that!
So did she get to wear the dress?
No! She sure didn't!!!
You got to love kid logic! Sometimes I wonder why I am even arguing with a two year old over ramen noodles verses cheese sandwhich. Cute kids!
Jayla will be an adorable Tinkerbell!
